Hitachi's strong, long track-record in cardiovascular ultrasound provides a solid foundation for leading-edge development. We were one of the first companies to market with the phased array transducer, the digital scan converter and the CW Doppler.

Besides the high resolution 2D image quality, Hitachi's platforms feature colour Doppler, colour tissue Doppler, steerable CW, PW Doppler, and Dual Gate PW Doppler. Optional features such as a fully-fledged stress echo package and multiplane TEE transducer provide a complete solution for the basic daily needs of the cardiologist. Omnidirectional M-mode and automatic M-mode measurements speed up clinical routine.

Sophisticated, multi-point tissue-tracking, to evaluate atrial and ventricular contractility and diastolic relaxation, open new frontiers in the management of chronic LV dysfunction and CAD.

  • Tissue Doppler Imaging (TDI)
    TDI procedures provide high resolution images of detected disturbances in cardiac wall motion. The colour visualisation provides quantitative dynamic views of the myocardium. The spectral tissue Doppler allows quantitative analysis of regional wall motion.
  • Stress Echocardiography
    The fully integrated stress echocardiography module enables advanced cardiac imaging, with greater flexibility. Examination protocols are simple to programme, ensuring ease of use. The extensive display charts, providing accurate analysis and comprehensive visualisation of results.
  • Dynamic Contrast Harmonic Imaging (dCHI)
    The dCHI module enables the efficient and straightforward application of contrast agents. This offers protocols for examinations requiring high and low MI and new clinical functions for next-generation contrast media examinations.
  • Tissue Tracking and Colour Tissue Tracking
    The 8-point or 64-parallel-point tissue tracking, combined with high frame rate imaging, enables accurate documentation and evaluation of myocardial timing and function.
  • Dual Gate Doppler
    Simultaneous real-time PW/PW, PW/TDI, TDI/TDI enables the documentation and evaluation of cardiac inflow, tissue contractility and relaxation events, during the cardiac cycle.
  • Automatic Intima Media Measurement.
    Automatically measures the IMT, averaged over a large distance, providing risk management for CAD.
